About us

The David Hewson Practice Ltd was established over 30 years ago, and from the very beginning our Financial Planning Consultants are proud to have been providing quality, personal and face to face advice to our clients.

Mortgage advice and financial planning is all about you, the life you lead, and the choices you make. That is why we take the time to listen to you and truly understand your goals and aspirations. We are then in a position to use our expertise to build solutions around your circumstances and needs.

About Andrew Button

After a very brief spell as a Trainee Land Surveyor (Company folded) and 4 years in retail with H Samuel; enjoyed a 20 year career with Nestle UK; 4 years with Kettle Chips; and 3 years with a Fancy Dress importer and wholesaler (don't ask)!! Was National Sales Manager for last 2 Companies, grew tired of travelling around the country, a weekly life in hotels is not as glamorous as it sounds.

Took a career break after leaving Smiffy's Fancy Dress, tried (and failed) to improve my golf handicap whilst looking for a fresh challenge. Always had an interest in property, and my career has been based around people, so what better than to help people either buy their first home; move up the property ladder; become landlords; or build their dream home; by arranging the mortgage finance. Studied for the professional qualification CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice) which is a requirement to be able to trade, passed all the modules with flying colours, a feat in itself as I hadn't sat a formal exam since my teens!

Now in my 7th year of self-employed Mortgage and Protection advising, the latter being more important than the former as I really feel I make a difference in ensuring families keep the roof over their heads should the unthinkable happen.
